Solar eclipse at totality. The corona becomes visible as the Moon blocks the Sun’s photosphere completely. Observed at John Day, Oregon.

The Sun’s corona is visible during the two minutes of totality. This image is a composite of seven separate exposures to show the details of the corona, and the solar prominences visible at the 12 o’clock and 2 o’clock positions of the Moon.
